An installation of assemblages, frottages, stones and shells makes you step into a small unusual world. A world where every object will unveil a small piece of the history which is concealed within. THE TRAIL OF THE 1000 STONES.....    She has to go to the burial mounds. The trail of the thousand stones. And every stone that she touches, will tell her a bit of the story. Of the world and the people. Of what has been and what is yet to be. 'Poulawack 001'
In this installation three elements are coming together. There are stones, shells, small objects that I found. For some kind of reason I was attrackted to them. Their structure, colour, appearance. When I touched them, it appeared to me as if they were telling me a story. As if they were showing me something from the long period that they existed. Some stones seamed to ask me to give them a special place. So they, with the story they are carrying within, would be seen by more people than just me. I attached them on a smooth, puffed up surface. With different colours. In a frame. To give them the attention they are asking for. Other stones were big and impressive. In their spot, there where I saw them. I looked for a way to be able to carry their presence with me anyhow. To be able to catch their atmosphere and personality, I made frottages. Different pieces of stone passed me the imprint of their surface. In different colours. Small bits of history. These three elements I have made into an installation. THE TRAIL OF THE 1000 STONES.....    She has to go to the burial mounds. The trail of the thousand stones. And every stone that she touches, will tell her a bit of the story. Of the world and the people. Of what has been and what is yet to be. 'the fourth two stones' In this installation three elements are coming together. There are stones, shells, small objects that I found. For some kind of reason I was attrackted to them. Their structure, colour, appearance. When I touched them, it appeared to me as if they were telling me a story. As if they were showing me something from the long period that they existed. Some stones seamed to ask me to give them a special place. So they, with the story they are carrying within, would be seen by more people than just me. I attached them on a smooth, puffed up surface. With different colours. In a frame. To give them the attention they are asking for. Other stones were big and impressive. In their spot, there where I saw them. I looked for a way to be able to carry their presence with me anyhow. To be able to catch their atmosphere and personality, I made frottages.
