'Further On the road'

: During the theme exhibition 'On the road' in September '23, a public prize was awarded. The winners, Irene Keyser and Ruud Pluyms, were allowed to set up this exhibition and invite a colleague. I had the honor of being invited by Irene. Together we develop the theme 'Hortus Concluses'.

Hortus Conclusus, the Enclosed Garden. How desirable or undesirable is the seclusion? Does it exclude the person who wants to go in? Or maybe it keeps the one trapped inside? Or is it perhaps the seclusion of our inner self in which joy, contentment and fear, anxiety compete with each other?
