Temporary Stay
- In the expansive garden of Sprankenhof, art and nature-inclusive agriculture merge in the September exhibition. You will find art with the theme 'temporary stay'. Topical in this day and age when so many people are traveling. Desired or forced. But it is also a recognizable theme for everyone personally. After all, don't we all need a place where you feel at home?
- September 1, 2024 until September 28, 2024

Temporary Stay 3 – Storage Jars
2024A number of 'storage jars', made of materials that I found everywhere and nowhere. Rope, rags and wire, branches and wood. If we stay somewhere for a while, where do we store the food we will need later? Not directly on the ground, but lifted up a bit. And thus protected from moisture and animals. Hopefully, the stock will stand the test of time.
Temporary stay 4 – For when we return
2024Bottles, filled with anything and everything; seed shells, nut shells, sticks, twigs, threads, pieces of fabric, nails and more. Things that I think will be useful 'for when we return'. In the metal container, as a kind of pantry; well stored. Let it be safe there from grasping fingers, waiting for later.
Temporary stay 1 – Watertight
2024Three elements, temporary, improvised accommodations. Set up in a hurry to provide a minimum of shelter. But then again, how much protection can they provide, with their open structure? Made from strips of old rags. From everywhere and nowhere: discarded curtains, kitchen linen, worn-out clothes and other rags. Each piece of textile has its own history. Once purchased, used for years, then discarded.
Temporary stay 2 – Floor plan
2024Separate elements together form a floor plan. This floor plan was built on site with the help of many visitors. The 'building blocks' consist of wool from the sheep that are at home on site. The wool was carded into 'building blocks' and secured with agricultural twine. This is how the floor plan for a temporary residence was created. Once finished, this might be a comfortable home.
