"L'eau pour le château II" has been created during my arist residency in La Vienne France. It is part of a series of three video's. Video I was recorded in the lavoir, close to my 'home'. In earlier days, this was an essential place for the villagers to meet while doing their necessary work for the household. You will find this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sumIrFFhFzE My 'home' is a house constructed against the walls of an old castle of which the foundations go back to 1040. My bedroom is actually on the castle grounds. As the castle lies on higher ground, the water would have been brought up from the village. In this second video, L'eau pour le château II, the images of the lavoir are integrated with the image of a castle wall. In the third video, "L'eau pour le château III", the images of the lavoir are integrated with the image of the stones of a big dark castle wall.
