During my residence d'artiste in La Vienne Fr in 2022 I made four works with the title "Rituels".

At my arrival in september 2022, it had been extremely dry for months. The earth was desperately waiting for rain. In the garden I found this cauldron, standing almost empty, waiting for water. This made me create this in-situ work. Rituels I, Le baptême (attendre la pluie) consists of a piece of old glass, hanging above the almost empty cauldron. Moving in the wind as a pendulum, trying to activate some rain clouds to relief the earth. The whole is 'outflanked' - protected by two rough lace-like parts of woolen crochet. The title, "baptème (attendre la pluie) translated into English: "baptism (waiting for rain)".
