During my residence d'artiste in La Vienne Fr in 2022, I made four works with the title "Rituels".
As human beings, we are not able to live without light. We need light to grow our food, to be able to do our work. Without light it would be extremely difficult for us to live. We need it to survive, yet it is an enchanting phenomenon ; allowing us to dream, to give birth to our fantasies. Rituels II, Piège à lumière is built with pieces of glass. They reflect the light. During the day, they cast the sunlight that reflects on their surface. The moving pieces of glass capture and reject the light, creating an magical spectacle. Wouldn't it be great for us humans to be able to trap the light and take it with us? So we could use it when needed?
